This post launches my second blog site. My first blog was for reviewers of a novel which
I am still trying to sell. This blog is dedicated
to issues on life-cycle Asset Management for Healthcare. The current trend in this area is buying RFID/RTLS
to increase utilization and possibly reduce shrinkage. This helps healthcare organizations spend less on rentals and buy less capital equipment.
I have noticed several whitepapers on poor utilization and loss
within a medical center or hospital. I
wonder how much they paid the writer to tell us something we already know. What’s missing is a story of how someone
reduced those risks and brought more value to the inventory of assets.
This is where my book, Covering
Your Assets By Exposing the Butt-Ugly Truth, stands as unique. It has a central character, a plot, a
setting, and a real problem to overcome. There is even the sense of a mission clock running down to zero.
A step by step approach is imbedded in the story and
utilization is in its proper place, a part of the asset life cycle.CoveringYour Assets By Exposing the Butt-Ugly Truth is viewable on amazon.com. Of course, that is only the 1st chapter or so. The price is 9.99USD for Kindle and Kindle Applications for PC and iPad. I want it obtainable for those working the projects. I want them to be able to buy it for themselves if they choose. The paperback and hard back editions are higher but still cheaper than the couple of hundred dollars I saw for another publication.
